“I realize you may not be able to relate to this happening to children today, but I can assure you it’s happening to children every day. Neglect. Beatings. Verbal abuse. Sexual violations. Our children need our help,” says Aniston.
Today, she is sharing his experience in order to bring attention to the thousands of children who need us to intervene on their behalf. “We need to show these children that they are loved and that we care,” says Timms. Timms, now a husband of 35 years, the father of two, and the grandfather of two, has served in the past on the board of Child Abuse Response and Evaluation (CARE) Center, and supported the youth group at the Elk City Community Church in Oklahoma City.
“My whole intention out of this is to help people who have been abused and make people aware it’s still happening,” he says. “If one child’s life is changed or saved, it will be worth it.”
